Our Story of Self-Publishing
Our History: From Breakthrough Debut to Independent Publishing
SITSP Indy Pub LLC was founded in December 2013 as Spirit in the Sky Presents Publication Inc, initially focusing on self-publishing urban literature and short stories as a Sole Proprietorship. Our journey began with the self-published Kindle edition of "Music Never Sleeps" on Amazon, which quickly gained traction and became a breakout success. This success was fueled by curated newsfeeds and mass marketing on social media (then Twitter), allowing it to peak within the Top 10 in its category.
Due to subsequent complications with the platform, we transitioned to independent publication. The original work was revised, copyrighted, and relaunched in January 2022 as "Every Dog Has It'z Day: Music Never Sleeps the Limited Edition." This paperback release, published under the SITSP Indy Pub LLC imprint, represents the most authentic, complete, and critically successful edition of the original masterpiece.
In November 2024, Spirit in the Sky Presents Publication Inc was renamed SITSP Indy Pub LLC.
In June 2025, "Every Dog Has It'z Day: Music Never Sleeps" was republished under SITSP Indy Pub LLC. The book was assigned a newly purchased ISBN, replacing the default SKU number previously provided by IngramSpark's distribution.
We believe in giving back. SITSP Indy Pub LLC maintains an active commitment to philanthropy, supporting the less fortunate through donations to charitable organizations globally. Our catalog features a rich blend of fiction and non-fiction, showcasing the diverse stories we aim to share with the world.
About Our Founder
Brandon A. Newton is an Entrepreneur/Writer, the Editor-in-Chief and founding owner of SITSP Indy Pub LLC. A native of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Brandon brings 25 years of prolific writing experience to the publishing world, having been dedicated to the craft since his teenage years.
His academic background is highly specialized, studying for his Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing & English (with a concentration in Fiction) from Southern New Hampshire University, complemented by also studying for his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (with a concentration in Entrepreneurship) from Liberty University.
Brandon also writes under the distinct pen name, Nex Saturday™️, a pseudonym that is a creative take on the phrase "Next Saturday" (without the 'T').
Mr. Newton is currently studying at University of Phoenix for his Bachelor's in Small Business & Entrepreneurship.
